Anvil Channel was founded in 2021 after the combination of Channel Investments and Anvil Energy Partners. Anvil's thesis was to provide liquidity to Canadian upstream producers who were unable to access traditional credit markets. Anvil provided that solution by deploying $120 million in senior secured fully amortizing term loans over 2 transactions. Anvil is now focusing on partnering with companies outside of energy who are looking for a long-term equity partner to grow their business.
