Anvil team members have direct lending experience across all domestic geographies with preference for the target markets.
Anvil will review and lend to developers with projects onshore in the L48. Our team has credit experience across all size and type of exploration, development and production facilities.
As a private non-bank lending company, Anvil is able to provide aggressive lending levels against PDP, PDNP and PUD assets.
Anvil has the in-place resources to quickly assess the potential lending base and provide indications of interest in a time frame that meets our customers' needs.

James W. Avery
James is a partner with Anvil where he manages operations in the New York office and is a member of Anvil's credit committee. James joins Anvil from Aldwych Capital Partners' Middle East energy and infrastructure advisory practice where he oversaw origination and is a member of the Firm's Deal Committee and Board of Managers.
David M. O'Driscoll
David is a partner and credit manager with Anvil and overseas operations and credit in the Houston office. David joins Anvil from Santander, where he managed the bank’s energy finance business in Houston and a $1.6 bln loan portfolio. Prior to Santander, David was with the energy credit businesses at UniCredit Group and Allied Irish Bank in New York.
Managing Director, Head of Origination
Rob joins Anvil as a Managing Director and Head of Origination. Rob is based in the Houston office and has held various leadership positions in the energy investment industry over 25 years. Rob has been responsible for deployment of over $1bln of upstream energy credit during this period. Rob was most recently a Senior MD at MLV and Macquarie.
Nick is an analyst at Anvil Capital Partners. Previously, Mr. Reid worked as a Research Analyst at the United Nations Global Compact, performing environmental and political risk analysis for Natural Resource and Energy companies, as well as assisting investors in the integration of ESG factors into investment decisions. Mr. Reid also worked as a Projects Engineer at Bowleven Oil & Gas, performing comparative project valuations and commodity research in the West African energy sector.
Jonathan is credit advisor to the board and sits on Anvil’s credit committee. Jonathan has over 20 years of reserve-based lending experience and five plus years of experience operating both private and public oil and gas companies. Jonathan was Executive Vice President of Texas Capital Bank where he was responsible for building the bank’s energy business to over $1.0 billion in committed resource-based loans. Currently, Jonathan serves as CEO of RMX Resources, LLC, a private equity backed California focused oil and gas producer.
Jennifer Rowland is Vice President at Anvil Capital Partners, where she leads deal diligence on all new investment opportunities as well as deal onboarding, execution, and ongoing maintenance. Ms. Rowland is a former Vice President of Goldman Sachs where she worked in the Commodities Structured Finance Group focusing on Energy in the Upstream, Midstream and Downstream Sectors. Ms. Rowland received her MBA and Bachelor of Science degree from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 2012 where she graduated Cum Laude.
